Our Story
DukaBot AI was born in Dar es Salaam in 2024, when our founders noticed a pattern: Tanzania's 2+ million small shops were still running on paper ledgers and cash-only transactions, while their customers were already on WhatsApp.
We built the first AI-powered WhatsApp commerce assistant that speaks natural Dar es Salaam Swahili. What started as a simple order-taking bot has grown into a complete commerce operating system — handling payments via M-Pesa, coordinating boda deliveries, and even running loyalty programs.
Today, hundreds of dukas across Tanzania trust DukaBot AI to handle their daily operations, processing thousands of orders and millions in mobile money transactions every month.
